The GCC INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL’s unique curriculum is a blend of the best in National and International Curriculums and is aligned to the current understanding of learning and teaching. It facilitates seamless progress from formative years through schooling to tertiary education while ensuring a smooth transition from one curriculum to the other.

The curriculum encourages students to be active learners who explore, understand and participate in the world around them. By exposing students to a wide variety of disciplines, both cognitive and non-cognitive skills are fine-tuned as they prepare for a well-balanced life. GCC International School has integrated curriculum developed by its inhouse curriculum department which focuses on overall development of a child. We believe in application and comprehension based learning.

We strive to engage our children, add spark and energy to their lessons and promote a strong sense of self worth. outside of school. We also work tirelessly to create an enriched curriculum for our children, injecting varied and rich learning experiences.

The Foundation Years has been developed focusing on 5 core areas of learning: Math, English Language, Science and Social Studies. The other areas developed are Music and Movement & Art. Both these areas will seek to integrate with the 5 core areas so that they support the core areas and become more meaningful to the learner. Use of technology both by the teacher and student has been emphasized throughout the curriculum, making it a forward-looking document, preparing and developing student thinking for the world of tomorrow. The curriculum aims to engage all students, while enthusing and challenging them.

Each core area has clearly identified Strands of knowledge. Together these Strands capture the essence of the curriculum content and provide clear focal points for teaching and learning. Additionally, the Strand divides the curriculum allowing it to be set out in a clear concise manner. These Strands of knowledge have grade appropriate learning objectives with suggested activities and related material and resources, along with some suggestions for assessment.

At the Primary level, we follow an integrated curriculum based on NCERT (National Council of Education Research and Training) and the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP) guidelines.
